Fuel
Hose - A great emphasis is now
being placed on reducing emission levels. Fuel recirculating continuously
can cause the formation of peroxides which many rubber and thermoplastic
hoses cannot withstand. Braided TeflonŽ fuel hoses give a greater
performance while still meeting the toughest emission tests in the world.
Higher working pressures of modern fuel systems make the conventional
'push-on' hose fittings a dsafety hazard. Increased engine bay
temperatures and material behaviour under fire conditions is now of great
concern.
Goodridge can offer a range of stainless steel braided TeflonŽ
fuel hoses in a number of sizes and a range of fittings to suit. Metric,
UNF, BSP, O Ring clamp fittings are just a small selection of the types
available. Alternatively, fittings can be developed and constructed for
new applications.

Braking
Systems - Stainless steel
braided TeflonŽ hose is used extensively for hydraulic braking systems in
high performance race and rally cars, the benefits of which are now being
appreciated by volume car manufacturers.
The high tensile stainless steel overbraided reduces volumetric expansion
to a minimum, optimising braking response and eliminating the sponge pedal
feel. Goodridge hold a large range of standard brake fitting
components and adaptors to suit most applications. All brake line supplied
for road use complies with FMVSS106.

Lubrication
& Cooling Systems -
Flexible hose has the ability to replace rigid pipe and can withstand high
working pressure and temperatures and additionally reduce sludge build up.
1/4inch bore stainless braided hose is ideal for use on turbo chargers as
oil or water feeds, sometimes incorporating rigid piping. |

assembly drawings, pre-production and full production parts. Component

Steering - A power steering
package is no longer just an option on many vehicles and is fast becoming
standard equipment on most European cars.

Rigid
Pipework - Rigid pipework has a
number of applications in modern engineering.
Goodridge can offer a range of manipulated steel, stainless steel,
aluminium tube and a complete range of terminations to suit international
standards and specifications.
Termination of a solid pipe connected to a flexible pipe can also be
offered. This can often eliminate the cost of expensive tooling for
complex bends and allow greater flexibility. All solid piping can be
offered fully pressure tested and cleaned to the highest standards ready
for fitment to hydraulic or automotive applications. |
